Who can attend this course?!
This course is designed for Master students, and private professionals of agriculture as well as staff working at institutions of Agriculture Department that have common interest for plant genetic resources, and in particular for crop genetic resources, to charcaterize, evaluate and valorize those crop genetic resources with the aim for their conservation, better managment and use in breeding programs.
The goals are to give participants concepts and basic knowledge, throught differents chapters and e-resources, on the importance of biodiversity of crop genetic resources to contribute to assure food security and sustainable devlopment under climate change and use of molecular biology and genetic engineering; as a complementary approach, to achieve these global strategic goals.
In addition, a short overview of cutting edge techonologies in crop biotechnology including application of novel gene-editing technologies is highlighetd with the latest applications in this field.
